We will inform you the date and time your shipment is scheduled for pick up after confirmation.
You will need to hand over the sealed Tamper Proof Bag to our logistics partner, Blue Dart upon receipt of an acknowledgment slip.
We will confirm the receipt of the shipment once checked by us under special dedicated cameras where the entire unpacking will be recorded to safeguard the interest of our clients & ILD.
What is the procedure for packing the return shipment?
Upon receipt of the Tamper Proof Bag, please place the product you wish to return inside the respective product box.
Place the box containing the product inside the Tamper Proof Bag.
Put all respective Original Invoice, Certificate etc received with the product into the Tamper Proof Bag.
Once you have put the product(s) along with the documents received with it into the Tamper Proof Bag, you will need to seal the bag.
You will find a strip of label on the inner top side of the bag, which you need to remove and seal the bag.
Please make sure the bag is sealed properly.
Once bag sealed, it cannot be opened unless cut open. (Note: Please hand this bag over to our shipping partner Blue Dart only upon a receipt for the same.)

Diamonds may look similar to the naked eye, yet, only an expert Gemmologist with powerful analytic tools can detect flaws that could make the real difference in terms of value and finish. A gemmological certificate provides the real confidence to the buyer. Hence, all our jewellery comes with a BIS hallmarking logo and an International Gemmological Laboratory certificate.
Which shape gives me the greatest value for my money?
Round Brilliant Cut (RBC) has the most brilliance, and is the most popular. Fancy diamonds look more elegant in larger sizes.
What are Diamond Facets?
Facets are the polished, flat surfaces on a diamond. It is the arrangement of the facets that gives a diamond its lustre & brilliance.
How many facets does a diamond have?
In a Round Brilliant Cut (RBC) there are 57 facets + 1 cu-let, which makes it 58 facets. 32 facets plus the table above the girdle and 24 facets plus the cu-let below the girdle. Some stones with only 18 facets are referred to as “single cuts”.
What are the “four C’s” relating to diamond quality?
The four C’s are Carat (weight), Colour, Clarity and Cut of the stone.
Colour: This is the first “C” of the 4C's of diamonds. All International gemmological institutes have established a scale of 23 letter grades indicating a diamond's colour.
D,E, and F are the highest and rarest grades.
G through J are nearly colourless.
K,L and M are faint yellow.
N through R are grades of very light yellow.
S through Z are considered light yellow.
There are other fancy colour of diamond, such as blue, pink and yellow.
Clarity is the second “C” of the 4C's of diamonds. Using a Gemmologist’s eye glass or loop at 10 times magnification, a trained eye can detect identifying characteristics which affect a diamonds clarity. The most common are internal flaws called inclusions. Some diamonds have external flaws, which are called blemishes. The size and location of these characteristics determine how the diamond is graded on scale as:

Cut is the third “C” of the 4C’s of diamonds. There are many different shapes of polished diamonds, such as Round, Pear, Marquise etc. But, while these are often referred to as cuts, this is not what is meant by the third “C”. From a gemmologist point of view, the cut of a diamond is what determines its brilliance. Unlike the other three C's, a diamond’s cut has no single defined standard. Rather, it is a set of measurements which determine the relationship between its dimensions, finish and light performance. Whatever the diamonds shape is, its width and depth determine how light travels inside. The more successful a diamond cutter is in balancing these considerations, the more valuable the stone will be. Even a colourless and flawless stone can be significantly diminished by a poor cut, because it will lack visible brilliance.
Carat is the fourth “C” of the 4C's of diamonds. Among all of the characteristics of a diamond, the carat is the most known and probably the most easily observed. A carat abbreviated “CT”, measures the weight of a diamond. One carat is one fifth of a gram, meaning a 5 Carat diamond weighs one gram. Since larger diamonds are rarer than smaller ones, the price per carat increases with its weight. In other words, two ‘one carat’ diamonds will cost less than a ‘two’ carat diamond of the same grade. Although carat weight mostly determines a diamonds apparent size, what really determines its appearance are the other three C's. So while a larger diamond might be more costly, it may not be as beautiful as a smaller one.

Conflict diamonds are diamonds that are mined in many conflict zones in Africa and are illegally sold in order to fund wars, hence earning the name “conflict diamonds” or “blood diamonds”. Jewellery cleaning is the practice of removing dirt from jewellery to improve its appearance. There are a number of things you can do to prevent build-up of dirt and prevent jewellery from becoming tarnished.

What is jewellery certification?
Jewellery certification is the gemmological analysis of your diamonds & gold characteristics and components. Analysis is done in an independent international laboratory by certified gemmologists. Once the analysis is complete, you will receive a certificate with all the product descriptions and photograph on it.
What is the benefit of getting a jewellery certificate?
The jewellery certificate assures buyers of the quality and authenticity of their diamond(s) and gold. If you later decide to sell your jewellery, having the certificate will provide the stamp of authenticity you'll need to get a fair price. Having the certificate may even add value to your jewel.
Why is diamond certification important?
Today there are artificial diamonds and treatments used to enhance the colour and purity of diamonds. Yes, due to the gold price fluctuation the price might vary on a daily basis.
How do I pay using a Credit/Debit card and is it safe?
We accept Visa, Master Card & Amex cards.You will need to key in the below details in the payment page:
Your Full Name appearing on the card
16-digit Credit/Debit Card number
3 digit CVV Code (Card Verification Value - found on the back of the card)
Complete the payment flow by entering the OTP (One Time Password) number to get the payment confirmation.
How long will it take to get refunds, if any?
ILD will refund the amount by Cheque or NEFT within 2 to 3 weeks from the date the product is received by ILD.
Can I offer Cheque for the payment in place of cash?
Currently at ILD we do not accept offline payments. However you could visit one of our preferred store/point after having selected your jewellery and make the payment there.
What is the option if no one is at home when the courier person comes?
Usually, the courier company will call you before delivering the shipment. For your protection, all orders require your/consignee’s signature upon delivery. To ensure that your courier reaches you smoothly. One should share:
A valid mobile number or landline number.
An alternate phone number.
Correct address and landmark. This will help the logistics company locate you easily and complete the process faster.
What are the reasons that my credit/debit card may get refused?
Debit & credit card companies refuse authorization of cards for specific reasons such as the points mentioned below. Please contact the respective debit/credit card issuing bank for further clarifications.
The card number and/or other details of the card entered is/are not valid (sometimes a typographical error)
The card does not have sufficient balance to make the payment of your order
The card expiration date is not entered correctly (sometimes a typographical error)
My transaction failed but money was deducted from my account. What do I do?
Please get in touch with your credit / debit card company to validate if the payment was credited to ILD. If no, claim for a refund from the credit/debit card company. If yes, please call our Customer Support number at 9739455000 or send us an e-mail at wecare@ilovediamonds.com and we would initiate a refund.
